Comments:
While I’m usually more of a DC fan than a Marvel fan, I do like some Marvel characters. Thus, thought I’d consider giving the Marvel Adventures line (a line of comics aimed at an all-ages/child-friendly audience, akin to DC’s Johnny DC books) a try, especially since I’m already reading “Super Hero Squad.”
I’m glad to see “Darkwing Duck” become a continuing series, and look forward to seeing what’s in store past the initial four-issue story (issue #4 is out today, and yes, I’ll be buying/reviewing it). Per the description, this issue’s part two of a “Crisis on Infinite Earths” parody; should be hilarious. Speaking of Darkwing, the trade paperback collecting the first four issues of the new series will also be available in late November/early December. (The trade paperback can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com here).
Looks like more “DuckTales” themed stories for “Uncle Scrooge.” While it’s not out until December (and December’s listings), Boom! recently announced the release of another comic based on an old “Disney Afternoon” show, “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.” While I liked “DuckTales” and “Darkwing” better, I’ll be giving the first issue of “Rescue Rangers” a go.
