A third volume of “Goldie Vance” is out this month, featuring more of Goldie and her mystery-solving adventures in a minority-friendly version of early 1960s Florida.

“Star Wars Adventures” is a new comic line from IDW. It’s an anthology of various adventures from across the “Star Wars” mythos, from the prequels to “The Force Awakens.” It’s also a kid-friendly line of stories, or at least more kid-friendly than the mainstream “Star Wars” comics put out by Marvel… who for some reason isn’t publishing this series. Which seems like more fodder for the idea the Big Two proper don’t care about attracting younger readers (beyond a few token efforts).

A comic based on the new “DuckTales” series launches this month, featuring stories set in the rebooted Disney XD series’ world. Elsewhere in Duck-related comics is the usual “Uncle Scrooge” series, plus a new trade volume of “The Duck Avenger” (or “Paperinik” as Donald’s superhero identity’s called in Italy).

Apparently “Back to the Future” is coming to an end with next month’s issue? Meanwhile, the solicitation for the “Biff to the Future” miniseries trade (about the alternate, Biff-ruled timeline from “Back to the Future II”) states: “Imagine if some lunatic were calling the shots?!” Well played, IDW.

“Real Science Adventures”‘s miniseries ends this month, while Thom Zahler’s “Time & Vine” story visits the 1980s.

The “Bloom County” compilation volume is the second one released for the current webcomic revival.
