On the heels of the recently announced direct-to-video animated films from Warner Bros. comes the latest one, “Looney Tunes: Rabbits Run.” In this film, Bugs Bunny is caught up in a chase for a sought-after invisibility spray, with Lola Bunny in tow.

The film looks loosely based on the recently-ended “The Looney Tunes Show” setting, as the character designs, personalities, etc. all reflect this show. While I wasn’t a fan of the show (it felt like Bugs and the gang forced into a “Seinfeld” style sitcom, and I’ve never liked “Seinfeld”), some have claimed it picked up during its second season. The trailer, embedded below, does show some slapstick gags (the lack thereof was a weakness of “The Looney Tunes Show”) and also has one of that show’s funnier characters, Speedy.

“Rabbits Run” is available on home video “soon”; no specific, or even general, date’s been given.
