Here’s what’s of interest coming out from Marvel for February 2013. Full solicitations are available here.
- Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #20, $4
- Spider-Man: Lizard—No Turning Back, $17
This month’s “Ultimate Comics Spider-Man” sees Miles face off against a presumably-new-and-improved version of Venom. Meanwhile, the “Superior Spider-Man” reboot continues in the mainstream Marvel titles (with no indication in the solicits as to who it is…), as does the rest of the “Marvel NOW!” initiative.
For some reason, Alpha’s getting his own miniseries. Was Alpha even remotely that well liked? I thought he was an annoying little brat, myself. (Not fully finished reading his storyline yet, as I’m waiting for the hardcover or trade paperback to come out…)
A trade paperback collection of Northstar’s recent wedding is offered this month. The TPB includdes a reprint of the comic where Northstar reveals he’s gay.
“Lizard—No Turning Back” collects the recent Lizard storyline in “Amazing Spider-Man,” plus a reprint of an issue of the fun “Untold Tales of Spider-Man” title.
The Guardians of the Galaxy get a special “0.1” comic release this month, presumably to begin building up their popularity with the recent announcement of a “Guardians” movie.
