As I reported previously, Canada’s Teletoon Retro cable channel has been running a poll allowing the (Canadian, though the voting wasn’t region-blocked) public to vote for their favorite classic characters. The poll finally closed as of today, with the five winners (who’ll each get a 24-hour marathon during “Boxing Week”) to be announced on Monday, December 13.
Given the poll tally Teletoon posted, the likely winners will be: Bugs Bunny; Scooby-Doo; Batman; Spider-Man; and Optimus Prime. I’ll be surprised if the final results are any different (and not being Canadian, I can’t tune in for the marathons anyway), but I’ll report back here on the winners. Good luck, Bugs!
