Election Day 2024 is as of this writing two weeks from now. At this point, I assume almost everyone has made up their minds on who to vote for, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. Despite “undecided” voters being hyped by the media and catered to by both parties, I can’t imagine any person needing more than 10 seconds to decide between Harris and Trump. I suspect these voters either: plan to vote for Harris or Trump (more likely Trump), but are lying about being undecided; or aren’t sure whether it’s worth voting at all, versus staying home.
While no amount of logical arguments will sway the first one (someone convinced Black immigrants are supposedly eating their pets likely isn’t the sharpest crayon in the box), it’s the second one that get out the vote (GOTV) efforts should focus on. Many voters may be uncertain about whether or not their vote will matter, especially if they’re in a battleground state or a state that went to Trump in 2016/2020.
Among other GOTV efforts online, there’s a comic based one: “Stop Project 2025 Comic.” It’s a site featuring comics by various creators explaining (and criticizing) different aspects of Project 2025. For those wondering, Project 2025 is a set of policy proposals by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. Many of the proposed policies have been sought after by conservatives for years, such as defunding PBS. However, other policy proposals seem to tie into the hope that Trump wins the election, and are extreme even by previous standards. To be blunt, the end goals of Project 2025 seem to be a mix of: Gilded Age style capitalism/lack of regulation; social policies and laws out of “The Handmaid’s Tale”; and “Jim Crow 2.0,” as Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina put it. There’s also heavy doses of authoritarianism, something a racist, egotistical bully like Donald Trump very much wants.

While all presidential elections are too big to ignore, the 2024 election is especially important. If you don’t want (at best) a repeat of US politics during the Trump administration, please vote on (or before) Election Day.
