My thoughts
“Bat-Fam” is a sequel to the 2023 holiday-themed Batman special “Merry Little Batman,” which is also on Amazon Prime Video. They should be on HBO Max with the other DC material, but with Warner Bros. Discovery having purged most of HBO Max’s non-adult animation library, I guess not.
“Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol” is another special in the “Prep & Landing” series featuring the Christmas elves Wayne and Lanny. For those that’ve canceled Disney+ (for reasons), it’ll also air on over-the-air TV for free (ABC).
This year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has several new balloons: Mario; Buzz Lightyear; and Shrek. Balloons returning from previous years include Monkey D. Luffy from “One Piece,” Pikachu and Eevee from “Pokemon,” and Goku from “Dragon Ball.” For those who aren’t anime fans, Snoopy, Spider-Man, and Minnie Mouse are also coming back.
Sports stuff
Along with the usual Thanksgiving Day football games, there’s also a Black Friday football game airing via Amazon Prime Video (as part of their Thursday Night Football rights). Prime Video’s also airing a few Black Friday basketball games. Of course, with Black Friday the biggest shopping day of the year, it’s a big chance for Amazon to promote its own online sales.
