This week’s favorite blog and website entry is “Supergirl’s Blog,” run by Rebecca Mongrain.
Despite the blog’s name, it has nothing to do with Kara Zor-El, Superman’s teenage cousin from Krypton (aka Supergirl), but instead focuses on Rebecca’s main interests: her new daughter Molly; photography (like me, Rebecca’s also on Flickr); knitting; and organic food.
Given Molly was born less than a year ago, much of Rebecca’s writing lately has focused on adjusting to life as a new parent. Thus, Rebecca’s written about topics such as Molly’s feedings (and first solid foods); her various first holidays celebrated; and the experience of using cloth diapers. Rebecca’s fairly devoted to an environmentally conscientious lifestyle; thus, it’s interesting to read about Molly’s upbringing experiences.
Rebecca’s also interested in photography, and makes heavy use of Flickr. Of late, she’s also been using Instagram, the popular newer photo service.
