Mickey Mouse finally gets his own ongoing comic back here in the US, with a new #1. This month’s Disney books also have special variant covers themed around the 60th anniversary of Disneyland.
Thom Zahler of “Love and Capes” fame has a four-issue miniseries, “Long Distance,” that starts this month. No superheroics here—just a couple in a long distance relationship (one person in Chicago, another in Columbus, Ohio). I’ll assume much driving across the Hoosier State’s involved?
“The Complete Peanuts” is nearing its end, as the 1995-1996 volume is released. The Amazon description notes there’s only two volumes left to complete the strip’s run.
“Superman: The Atomic Age Sundays” features various strips that show Superman’s transitory late Golden Age phase. Superboy and Smallville are mentioned, but Superman still faces the Golden Age tuxedoed Mr. Mxyztplk.
