Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) this year is on May 7, 2016. The day, held annually on the first Saturday in May, is an annual offering of free comics by comic book shops across the country. It’s meant to promote the virtues and positive aspects of the comics medium, as well as the existence of comic book shops.
50 comics have been announced for this year’s FCBD. As usual, the comics are split between two categories, 12 “Gold” titles and 38 “Silver” titles. Here’s the titles I’d suggest. Note that comic shops have to pay for the FCBD “free” comics, and thus can only give away several titles per customer. Along with the Free Comic Book Day comic, you should also make a purchase while you’re at your local comic shop.
