A full list of Oscar winners is available here.

Disney (and Pixar) did pretty well this year, with wins for “Zootopia” (as I expected) and “Piper” (which I wasn’t certain about). Disney also got a win for “The Jungle Book,” beating out “Rogue One” and “Doctor Strange” (which, well, are also Disney-owned films).

“Moonlight” won the Best Picture, to everyone’s surprise, given “La La Land” seemed like a lock. In a very high profile closing mistake, they initially announced “La La Land” was the winner, before announcing the proper winner. Still, I never thought I’d see a film starring Black gay men win Best Picture. (I still have negative memories of how “Brokeback Mountain” lost to the forgettable “Crash.”) So, congratulations to “Moonlight!”

Jimmy Kimmel was this year’s host. I’m reminded why I still miss Craig Ferguson from late night TV.

What do you think of this year’s Oscars?
