Marvel Adventures Super Heroes #12

This issue picks up from the last issue’s Hulk guest-appearance, and features the Hulk as this month’s star. Bruce Banner, tracking down reports of a rampaging green monster (that isn’t Banner) in a small town in Texas, stumbles across fellow green monster and classic Hulk foe, the Abomination. The Abomination, like the Hulk, dates back to the 1960s, and is basically the Hulk’s “evil twin” (similar powers/color, but unlike the Hulk, doesn’t change back into a human). On TV these days, the Abomination often appears (alongside MODOK) as one of Dr. Doom’s dim-witted lackeys on “The Super Hero Squad Show.”

Given it’s, well, the Hulk, and the fight-heavy (and short) nature of this story, there’s not much more to tell about this one; it’s basically “Hulk and Abomination meet, fight for awhile, and, uh, that’s about it.” There’s also a Thor backup story (the same one running through Marvel Adventures titles lately).

Oddly, there’s no description of this story on Marvel’s website; instead, it describes this issue as featuring a Captain America story. Did that story get canceled/delayed and replaced by this one instead?

Next issue features (as the lead tale) another Thor story. Why yes, there *is* a Thor movie coming out in several months…
