Here’s a look at what’s coming out for Archie for September. Full solicitations are available here.

  • Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #1, on sale Oct. 8, $4
  • Archie #660, on sale Oct. 1, $4
  • Betty and Veronica Comics Digest #227, on sale Sept. 24, $5
  • Kevin Keller #15, on sale Sept. 17, $4
  • World of Archie Comics Digest #43, on sale Sept. 17, $5

Trade paperbacks

  • Archie: Rockin’ the World, on sale Oct. 15, $10

Since it’s September, it’s a head start on Archie’s annual Halloween offerings. The cover for “World of Archie” is a cute jab at their “Afterlife” comic’s premise. The story in said digest also sounds like another adventure with the gang’s pets, who seem to be getting plenty of space this month.

Sabrina gets a new comic this month; this one’s not based on the current series on The Hub, nor a traditional-style Archie book, but is a “mature readers” horror title along their “Afterlife With Archie” series. The billed villain, Madame Satan, was apparently an old-time Archie comic character (from their non-Riverdale lines of books). I’ll give it a go, if only because I like Sabrina and zombies aren’t involved.

“Rockin’ the World” collects the recent “Archie World Tour” storyline.

Archie’s comic line lately has been subject to delays in shipped books, for whatever reason. As a result, “Kevin Keller”‘s final issue has been pushed back from July to September. While the “Days of Future Past” variant cover’s nice, I’ll miss this series.
