“Archie” sees yet another relative of the gang introduced. This extended family member is Veronica’s cousin, a girl named Harper who uses a stylish wheelchair.
“Kevin Keller” sees Kevin become a superhero, “The Equalizer.” There’s no indication if it takes place in the same continuity of comics that Pureheart the Powerful takes place. However, an interview with creator Dan Parent states he did want to make Kevin a Batman-like character to compare with the rest of the Archie Gang superhero roster. I do like the variant cover (yes, another “The Dark Knight Returns” take-off).
That’s an “interesting” variant cover for “Afterlife With Archie.” Guess Betty and Veronica dressing a bit skimpier than usual keeps with the comic’s “mature readers” theme? I still haven’t read it past glimpsing through the first issue, not being interested in zombies one iota…
