The 38th annual Daytime Emmy Awards nominees have been announced. While I wonder how badly this show will suffer in the coming years, given the cancellation of various soap operas (in favor of what the world “needs,” more reality shows), it’s still giving awards to various TV animated series.

I’d like to see “FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman” win at least one award, as I thought it was an amusing and creative educational series. I also can’t recall many other PBS shows (for kids or live-action) making references to “Speed Racer,” 80s rock group Journey, or Iron Man.
Didn’t think “Penguins of Madagascar” would be *that* popular, nor the latest incarnation of “Transformers”…
The award winners will be announced on CBS on Sunday, June 19th at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT.
