Next in the 2011 flashbacks is, well, a not-so-flashback: the newly-created video games category.
About a little over a month ago (on Black Friday), I bought my first video game system, an Xbox 360. Since then, I’ve:
- Played (and beaten) “Fable III” (with an anticlimactic ending).
- Played the heck out of “Marvel vs. Capcom 3,” sporadically played “Lego Star Wars,” and barely touched “Halo: Reach” (found it too complicated/dull in the brief time I tried it).
- Discovered many online video game players are adolescents and sore losers. I’ve gotten brainless “insults” via text messaging on Xbox Live (after beating them in “Marvel vs. Capcom 3”).
- Figured out how to set up streaming from my laptop to the Xbox, allowing me to watch my ripped DVDs on my TV set.
Currently, I’m waiting to receive a copy of “Sega All-Stars Racing” from Amazon.com, having found an Xbox equivalent to “Mario Kart.”
