News came earlier today that Tom Magliozzi, one-half of the “Click and Clack” brother hosts of NPR’s auto repair show “Car Talk,” has passed away at age 77:

While the brothers retired from their radio show in 2012, it’s been airing in reruns on weekends (usually Saturday morning around here) ever since.

Besides the radio show, the brothers lent their voice to a few media appearances, including: a short-lived animated adaption of their show on PBS, “Click and Clack’s As the Wrench Turns” (Tom was “Click”); a guest appearance on the 90s sitcom “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” (where they host a magic-oriented version of their talk show); a guest appearance on PBS’ “Arthur”; and in Pixar’s film “Cars.”
