New Year’s is upon us, and with it comes the usual spate of TV show marathons. Animation-wise, there’s not a ton of interest to choose from, however. Here’s what I could find for marathons (all times EST):
New Year’s Eve
Cartoon Network: “Adventure Time” will air from 4 to 8:30 PM.
New Year’s Day
Cartoon Network: Various TV-movies will air, including (unfortunately) some live-action ones, which won’t be listed here:
- Dexter’s Laboratory, “Ego Trip,” 7 AM
- Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, “Destination Imagination,” 8 AM
- Kids Next Door, “Operation ZERO”, 9:30 AM
- Billy and Mandy, “Big Boogey Adventure,” 11 AM
- Ben 10, “Secret of the Omnitrix,” 1 PM
- Teen Titans, “Trouble in Tokyo,” 6 PM
- “Firebreather,” 7:30 PM
Boomerang: A 24-hour marathon of “Tom and Jerry” cartoons, starting at 6 AM.
Out of the above, the only show of interest for me is seeing “Ego Trip” again, which to my knowledge isn’t on DVD yet (and hasn’t aired on TV in quite awhile); I last saw it on a VHS tape. Otherwise, looks like a dry spell for New Year’s weekend viewing.
