In the interest of keeping up a supply of blog content and trying something new, I thought I’d try a weekly roundup of articles I liked from the past week. Most of the articles I found either via the Feedly RSS reader service or through subscribing to Google Alerts. While I’ve posted many of the articles to Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ already, seeing them in one post is more convenient.
Comics/Animation
- A “Kate or Die” comic strip on whether girl oriented merchandise really does sell. (Kate or Die)
- How Batman can save time on figuring out his foes’ aliases. (Dinosaur Comics)
- About how I feel about hearing spoilers without asking first. (Diesel Sweeties)
Technology
- An iPhone user’s review of exclusively using an Android phone (the Nexus 6P) for a month. (Macworld)
- The Electronics Frontier Foundation (EFF) has filed a complaint with the FTC over Google’s Chromebooks/Chrome OS supposedly infringing on the privacy of students. The EFF is also offering tips on how to boost Chromebooks’ privacy settings. (EFF, ZDNet)
- Android Wear smartwatch devices can now display a “Star Wars” watch face. (Android Police)
Media
- An article on why we eat popcorn at movies. Of course, movie theater popcorn’s pricey. (KQED)
- Barnes and Noble’s released its second quarter fiscal earnings, and things don’t sound promising. (The Digital Reader)
