A one-shot “Batman ’66” story this month sees the Legion of Super-Heroes visit the Dynamic Duo’s era. In a twist on their Silver Age origins/the series’ Bat-centric take, the Legionnaires idolize Robin instead of Superboy.
Two of the three monthly “Scooby-Doo” titles this month feature a Western theme. (The third one, “Scooby Apocalypse,” just has the usual monsters.) This month’s “Team-Up” involves the great-great-grandparents of the gang plus Jonah Hex. Gather they didn’t want to invoke another time-travel story after the Flintstones/Jetsons stories?
The cover for the “Looney Tunes” trade paperback is hilarious; even the Road Runner looks horrified at what Wile E. did (accidentally crushing Santa Claus’ sleigh with a boulder)!
