After some thought, I figure I shouldn’t ignore the stuff coming out from smaller/independent companies… or at least give them the same attention I’ve been giving Marvel, DC and Archie. Thus, here we go—what looks of possible interest for November 2011. (No, not dividing the entries between “might buy” and “will buy” in this case…)

“Gladstone” is about a school (similar to Acme Looniversity on “Tiny Toon Adventures”) that teaches superpowered kids how to become super-villains. The preview I read seemed interesting, so I might consider giving the trade paperback a go.

The Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes crossover continues this month. No idea if Superboy will appear in this storyline or not. Suspecting “not,” though I’d love to see two of my childhood favorites (Superboy and the original “Star Trek” crew) meet.

“Peanuts” is getting a preview this month for a new ongoing comic series next year. Not sure how this works, per Charles Schulz’s request that nobody draw his strip after his death. Perhaps they’re comic stories based on some of the ongoing comic strip storylines?
