Looks like a lot of “Fear Itself,” Thor and Captain America this month, the latter two to promote their summer films. Case in point, Cap’s appearance in this month’s “Super Heroes,” which is a reprint of an earlier Marvel Adventures title (explaining why Spidey’s here).
There’s a Super Hero Squad magazine out this month, to tie into some new multiplayer online game related to the cartoon. The magazine reprints the recent 50-cent one-shot SHS comic and the “Super Hero Squad Spectacular” one-shot.
Not related to the above, but Marvel’s pushing the upcoming “Death of Ultimate Spider-Man” via bringing back that should’ve-stayed-long-buried 90s tactic, the polybagged cover. Nothing says “2011” (and “shift toward a digital world”) like wasting fossil fuel-derived plastic on a lame collector’s gimmick!
