Comments
No mention of Chuck in any of the stories this month, but he is featured on the cover of “Archie & Friends” and “Best of the 90s, Book 2”, a collection of pop culturally significant Archie stories from (and about) the 90s. His girlfriend Nancy is mentioned in this month’s “Betty” description (in a story about trying to organize Betty’s room).
Sabrina is mentioned on the cover as a backup feature in this month’s “Betty & Veronica Double Digest.”
“World of Archie” features a collection of all three stories of the just-finished “Tiny Titans/Little Archie” crossover. I wonder if there’ll be an actual stand-alone trade paperback for this series. That, and I’ll note that this double digest, artwork size aside, is the better buy than the separate issues ($9 for all three issues, versus $4 for this digest *plus* the usual various backup stories).
Finally, the Robin Hood parody story continues in “Archie.” Mad Doctor Doom and his assistant Chester play the villains here, and are mentioned on the cover as being back. Interesting to see these two villains, unused in years until the recent “Man from R.I.V.E.R.D.A.L.E.” storyline (and the Tiny Titans crossover), are now deemed as a cover selling point.
