“Rebirth” and the revamping of the Superman books continues this month. The most prominent new book is “Superwoman,” which sees Lois Lane as a superheroine with Superman’s powers. This marks the first solo ongoing title Lois has had since her Silver Age title “Superman’s Girl Friend, Lois Lane” was cancelled in October 1974 at issue #137.
Outside of the DCU, “DC Bombshells” gets its first annual, while “Legend of Wonder Woman” comes to an end.
On the trade paperback side, 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of Aquaman’s debut in “More Fun Comics” #73 in 1941. The Sea King gets an anniversary omnibus this month, featuring his best stories from over the decades. The trade paperback of the Bronze Age “Super-Sons” stories is also being re-offered this month.
