Weird… there’s no description or cover for the “Archie” title. Then again, there’s also some entries with incomplete dates (only the newsstand or comic shop date listed, etc.). Either there’s scheduling issues, they wanted to keep some releases (such as the flagship title) a surprise, or it’s just a poorly-written/rushed solicitations release this month.

Otherwise, this month sees a lot of 70th anniversary themed stories appearing—more of the Archies-as-superheroes and reprints of older stories. To wit, “Archie & Friends Double Digest” sees Betty’s SuperTeen identity appear, in a reprint of an old Dan DeCarlo story. Meanwhile, “Betty” this month offers reprints of Lil’ Jinx and Sabrina. “World of Archie” has a reprint of another “She’s Josie” story.

More trade paperbacks are coming, including a collection of the early “Life With Archie” magazine stories. There’s also a deluxe edition of the “Best of Archie” paperback available, this time as a more expensive, larger-sized hardcover edition. This should please those dissatisfied with the smaller-sized Archie trade paperbacks (or who want a “nicer” copy).

Kevin Keller’s third issue of his four-issue miniseries (which I assume will also be collected in a trade paperback) sees him deal with a fear of speaking in public. Interesting, though I wonder how he plans on running for class president (per another upcoming Kevin story description) with such a fear. Still, I look forward to this one. Dilton, presumably fresh off his epic battle against Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook, shows up here to help Kevin out.
