“Black Panther and the Crew” has been cancelled, with two issues out this month to wrap up its storyline. This rather swift axing has gotten some amount of notice from media, including non-comics media like the New York Times. With “World of Wakanda” also apparently gone, that just leaves the regular “Black Panther” title to carry on. Given T’Challa’s getting a movie, perhaps there’s still room for one of these titles (or a new secondary book) to return.

“Secret Empire” wraps up its (still in my opinion ill-conceived) run this month. Things are switching to “Generations,” a storyline about modern incarnations of heroes meeting their classic predecessors, apparently via time-travel.

In time for the Inhumans’ fall TV show comes several miniseries and one-shot specials. This includes an oversize $8 special dedicated to Lockjaw, the Inhumans’ giant-sized canine.

“Squirrel Girl” still sees Doreen in the Savage Land.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur put in an appearance in this month’s issue of “Venom.” Oddly, it looks like “Venom” is the rare¬†title Marvel hasn’t rebooted with new numbering, as it’s reached the awfully-high-these-days-for-Marvel issue #153.

Marvel’s also putting out a series of one-shot reprints of characters created by Jack Kirby, in honor of what would be the comics legend’s 100th birthday. Some of the titles include reprints of “Avengers” #4 (Captain America’s first Silver Age appearance), “Tales to Astonish” #13 (Groot’s first appearance), and the first issue of Black Panther’s 1977 solo series. All of the issues are selling for $1 each.
