This month’s issue, in time for Valentine’s Day (even if my review of it isn’t) focuses on Wonder Woman and Batman on an adventure where, thanks to the interference of the Greek god Eros, Wonder Woman and Batman fall head-over-heels for each other, and immediately plan a wedding, superhero-style. Of course, since it’s a superhero wedding, tradition demands a number of supervillains somehow launch an attack… which proves to be the story’s high point. Especially given the high number of obscure villains who show up!

Nice to see most of Wonder Woman’s supporting cast thrown in as well. A mix of pre- and post-Crisis versions of Diana’s history are seen here—Steve Trevor and Etta Candy are their post-Crisis versions, along with a black-haired Queen Hippolyta, while most of Diana’s villains are their Golden and Silver Age versions (the Cheetah, Egg Fu, etc.). A wide variety of obscure DC heroes also show up (including a pair of humor series characters), along with more well known ones like John Stewart. WGBS also seems to have moved from being a Metropolis TV station to a Gotham City one in this series. Of course, it all ends on a typical (but appropriate) “Brave and the Bold” style note…
